Hi, I’m Erin!

I’ve always felt at home around horses. What started as a lifelong love has grown into the heart of the work I do today. When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me out on the trails with my horses, Gideon and Belle, or spending time with our minis, Cookie and Roxy—who bring so much personality, joy, and connection to the farm.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in the equine world—from carriage driving, to therapeutic riding programs, to running summer camps and my own lesson business. Over time, I saw how powerful horses can be in helping people feel safe, confident, and connected, and I knew I wanted to bring that into a therapeutic space.

I began my supervised private practice in 2025, combining my background in mental health with my experience in the equine world.

I have over 10 years of experience working with neurodiverse children, teens, and adults, and I’m passionate about creating a space where each person feels seen, supported, and understood as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist and specialize in working with anxiety and grief, especially with children and adolescents.

My approach is gentle, relational, and tailored to each individual. I integrate play, somatic work, mindfulness, and experiential therapies to help clients better understand their emotions, build confidence, and feel more regulated and secure in themselves.

I believe therapy should feel safe, engaging, and genuine—and I strive to create an environment where clients can show up exactly as they are.

Meet Gideon!

Gideon is the horse behind the practice. He is gentle, kind, silly & generous in his presence. He absolutely loves being a therapy horse & adores everyone he meets. Whether clients come with their grief, anxiety, depression or whatever troubles them, Gideon offers a steady presence that allows them to feel seen & heard. Erin and Gideon met 10 years ago at Sunshine Acres Children’s Home where Erin spent time as their Assistant Equestrian Manager. In 2018 she was able to call him her own & they have been inseparable ever since! He is a 17 year old Quarter Horse.

Meet Belle!

Belle is a 9-year-old mustang, born in the northern mountains of Nevada. She lived her first year wild before being gathered by the BLM and brought to the Florence prison program, where she was started under saddle by incarcerated trainers.

When Erin met her in 2020, Belle was quiet, shut down, and disconnected from herself — doing what she needed to do to get through the world, but not yet fully in it. Over time, with patience, consistency, and choice, she has slowly come back online.

Belle takes her time with trust. She watches closely. She feels deeply. And once she decides you’re safe, her loyalty is unwavering. There’s a steadiness to her now that wasn’t there before — a softness paired with strength, and a growing confidence in her own voice.

She’s a living reminder that healing doesn’t happen on a timeline, and that coming back to yourself is possible — even after a hard beginning.

Meet Cookie!

Cookie is the backbone of this program.
Steady. Gentle. Unflappable. Grounded in a way you can feel the moment you stand near him.
He’s a 19 year old mini horse who Erin adopted from a rescue in 2021 after being found emaciated — his person had passed away, and for a long time, no one came to care for him. And yet… this is the horse who now holds so much space for others.
Cookie doesn’t rush. He doesn’t demand. He simply is.
And in that presence, nervous systems soften. Clients slow down. Safety becomes tangible.
There’s something profoundly healing about being regulated by someone who knows what it means to survive neglect and still choose gentleness. Cookie teaches that steadiness can be rebuilt, that trust can return, and that softness is not lost just because life was once hard.

Meet Roxy!

Roxy is a 5-year-old mini horse who came to me from a rescue after being pulled from a kill pen as a yearling. She has more personality than most full-sized horses and makes sure everyone knows it.

She’s sassy, silly, and endlessly expressive. Roxy loves obstacle courses and happily jumps right into activities with enthusiasm and curiosity. Her spunk, confidence, and willingness to participate make her a favorite among many clients.

Roxy is also very honest — if she doesn’t like something, she’ll let you know. And that clarity, humor, and sense of self are part of what makes her such a powerful teacher in this space.
